Experience:
Ken has worked as a Creative Director in the advertising/marketing business for over 33 years, creating campaigns for national and regional accounts in Chicago, Seattle and Wenatchee.
In Chicago, Ken worked at J. Walter Thompson, Leo Burnett & Tatham-Laird and Kudner, on national accounts such as Erlanger beer (Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company), 7-Up, Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg's, Nestle, and Oscar Mayer.
In Seattle, he worked at Kraft Smith and Stimpson Associates as art director and co-creative director, respectively, on regional accounts such as First Interstate Bank of Washington, Washington State Lottery, Liberty Orchards, Olympic Stain, N.C. Machinery, Simpson Timber, Get Fit Foods, Continental Mills and Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska,
For over 20 years Ken was owner and creative director of The Creative Dept., providing creative direction for the Washington Apple Commission, Get Fit Foods, AppleSweets, Cameo Apple Marketing Association, Stemilt Apples, Museum
of Flight, Washington Dairy Commission, SnackWell's (Nabisco), Grant County PUD, and a wide variety of businesses from food to real estate to automotive.
Ken has been a committee member for Auction
of Washington Wines for 20 years, providing the design for all the marketing materials, and helping the auction raise funds for the Children's Hospital and Regional medical Center. During that time, the auction has grown from raising $25,000 the first year to nearly $2 million in 2006.
Vine Vertical, recently formed by Ken and his partner Larry Cramer, is his newest venture -
a marketing and design company dedicated specifically to the Washington wine industry.
